COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
Enhanced Housekeeping and Hygiene Protocols
We are all more interested in cleaning and safety procedures than ever before. At The Homestead we have reviewed and revised every guest experience and housekeeping protocol (and habit) so that we are in compliance with the requirements of the CDC and Reopen CT, and so that we employ the best practices of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, ServSafe National Restaurant Association and New England Inns and Resorts. Our goal is to exceed the standards set for hygiene and safety for our guests and our staff.

Hospitality extends to the care we will take to maintain the safest COVID-19 practices using active protocols for social distancing, contactless service and cleaning, and technologies like UV-C light and other germicidal tools. Changes around The Homestead will include mandatory mask usage, contactless check-in, social distancing in common areas, individually packaged breakfast. For those who want the nitty-gritty details, we are happy to share, read on. Please note that we do ask guests and staff to wear masks while in indoor common areas. Exceptions to this may be made for guests who have a private reserve of the entire property. Please contact our Innkeepers with questions.

The following information is excerpted from The Homestead Reopening Plan in which all staff members are trained and per the requirement of Reopen CT, weekly compliance checks will be performed by our Implementation Officer.
